Mother's Day

I had such a meaningful Mother's Day. I guess I've had 3 so far (1 while pregnant, and 2 since Justice was born), but this year stood out. Maybe it is just because I have another year of mothering under my belt and I have gotten to know and love my son all the more. Maybe it is because I am in the USA this year, and therefore just around more Mother's Day-ish sentiments (seeing cards in the store, hearing people talk about it, etc). But I feel like God did something specific in my heart. Starting in church that morning, He was really filling my heart with deeper love for my son, and for my husband. I've also realized how often I think of my own mom throughout the days as I try to figure out how to handle each situation with my son. I honor and appreciate her! I walked away from the day with a new charge to love Jesus in a way that Justice will learn to love Him too. What an amazing privilege (and responsibility!) it is to be a mother!

"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14

"No one is poor who had a godly mother." Abraham Lincoln

Catching Up

These photos are a little old by now, but I thought I'd still share them. Aunt Rachel took them when she was here for a visit during her spring break. We miss you Aunt Rachel!

Friends

Justice swinging with his best friend S. Her mom and I walk with the kids a few times a week and we are so glad they are here! Justice and S laugh and laugh together - they really like each other!

Here is Justice with his 3rd and 4th cousins on his daddy's side. They are all close in age and had fun together this day!

At the playground with another friend who we picked up from the bus this week after school to help out. Justice was so excited when he saw the yellow bus coming around the corner!

Loving our friends' dog!

Survivors

Here are the two baby bunnies that survived the snake attack. They
seem to be doing fine and they are so cute!

My husband the snake slayer

My manly husband triumphed over this snake that ate 4 baby bunnies in our backyard. You go babe!
